Keeping Your Figurines Looking Great
Figurines on display slowly suffer from dust and sunlight. The care and storage tips below work for store-bought figurines as well as pieces you have printed yourself, on your own 3D printer or through an external 3D printing service, from the 3D model data (3MF) you downloaded from Figmee.

Everyday Care
Routine maintenance is surprisingly simple.
Dust removal is best done with a soft brush or a camera air blower. If you use canned air, keep the nozzle at a safe distance to avoid damage.
For stubborn smudges, gently wipe with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Avoid scrubbing, as excessive force can chip paint.

- Always air-dry naturally
Choosing the Right Spot
The three enemies of figurines are direct sunlight, heat and humidity, and dust.
Direct sunlight causes colors to fade over time. If your display is near a window, apply a UV-blocking film or position figurines out of direct light.
Heat and humidity can warp or degrade materials. Never leave figurines in a hot car or a stuffy closet during summer.
Dust accumulates quickly. Clean regularly or display your pieces inside a case.
Storage Tips
When you need to store figurines you are not currently displaying, follow these guidelines:
- Wrap individually: Use tissue paper or soft non-woven fabric for each piece
- Add cushioning: Prevent figurines from bumping into each other with padding material
- Store flat: Lay them on their sides for stability rather than standing upright
- Label everything: Note your child's name, the drawing date, and the artwork title on the box
Do Not Forget Digital Backups
Always keep the figurine-style images and 3D model data (GLB / 3MF) you generated with Figmee saved as files. As long as you still have the 3D model data, you can have a damaged print printed again, for example through an external service.
Backing up to cloud storage also protects you when switching phones or devices.
