Read this article to check which images can be turned into 3D images, and whether you're allowed to upload a particular image.
Images that can become 3D images
Figmee turns drawn illustrations into 3D images. You can use images like these:
- Drawings on paper (a photo taken with a smartphone or a scanned image is fine)
- Digital illustrations (including anime-style and manga-style illustrations)
Photos of real people, animals, objects or scenery, and images that look like photos, can't be turned into 3D images. If an image is identified as a photo, "Photos are not supported. Please upload a hand-drawn illustration." is shown and the tokens used are returned automatically.
Formats and size
You can upload PNG, JPEG and WebP images of up to 20 MB each. GIF is not supported.
Images you're allowed to upload
You may upload only drawings you made yourself, or images that the rights holder has given you permission to use. Our Terms of Service prohibit uploading or generating images such as:
- Images that infringe other people's copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights or other rights (for example, using an illustration drawn by someone else without permission may infringe copyright)
- Images that contain sexual or violent content, harassment or hate speech
- Images related to illegal activities or self-harm
Figmee uses external AI services to generate 3D images and 3D models, so their content policies also apply. If the safety system determines that an image falls into these categories, generation may stop automatically.
Image rights and how images are used
- The copyright in an uploaded image belongs to the person who uploaded it.
- Figmee uses uploaded images only to create 3D images and 3D models, and does not use them to train AI. Figmee does not make them public to third parties, except when you publish a work yourself.
- Copyright in generated images is governed by applicable law.
