Photo Book + 3D Model: Keep Shichi-Go-San in 2D and 3D

For Shichi-Go-San keepsakes, the photo book is a classic. Why not pair it with a figurine-style 3D model made from a drawing of your child's festive outfit? Photos go into the photo book, and a drawing made while looking at them becomes 3D with Figmee. You keep the day in two forms: flat and three-dimensional.

Why Combine a Photo Book and a 3D Model

Flipping pages + spinning on screen

A photo book offers the pleasure of looking back while turning the pages. A figurine-style 3D model offers the pleasure of spinning it 360 degrees on screen. Together, they let you enjoy the memories from many angles.

The gift includes the time spent drawing

A photo book alone is a lovely gift, but adding a drawing by your child or family, plus the 3D model made from it, conveys your feelings along with the time spent drawing. It's a great gift for grandparents, too.

Something that lasts

A photo book lasts a long time if stored properly. Save the figurine-style 3D model as data (GLB / 3MF), and you can look back at it anytime.

How to Create Your Set

Step 1: Take the photos

Studio or casual photos both work. Include some full-body shots, since they'll be a reference when you draw later.

Step 2: Make the photo book

Choose your favorite photos and order a photo book. Many photo book services take orders online.

Step 3: Draw from the photos and make it 3D

While looking at the photos you used in the book, draw your child in their festive outfit. Upload the drawing to Figmee: the figurine-style image (3D image) usually takes 2–3 minutes, and the 3D model made from it a few minutes. Photos themselves (photos of your real child) can't be turned into 3D; if an image is judged to be a photo, generation stops (the tokens you used are returned automatically).

Step 4: Put the gift together

Add the original drawing, a share link to the 3D model, or its 360° video to the photo book. If you'd like to include a physical piece, you can have it printed by an external 3D printing service (ordering physical 3D prints from Figmee is Coming Soon).

Gift Ideas

  • For grandparents — Their grandchild's growth in photos, a drawing, and 3D
  • For your partner — As a keepsake of raising your child together
  • For yourself — A reward for all your hard work

Photos in the Book, the Drawing in 3D

A photo book and 3D model set keeps Shichi-Go-San memories both flat and in three dimensions. Put the photos in the photo book, turn a drawing made from them into a figurine-style 3D model with Figmee, and enjoy the day in two forms.
